l4d not working

hi im new and i need help wit getting l4d to work on window7 home premium 64 bits. the problem is whenever i finish loading the map for campaign mode it automatically exit once loading is complete, and then my desktop pops up. i dont kno how to solve it because no error messages are showingup. any1 know why?

Maybe it's a grapchis card driver issue. Try looking at the manufacturers website to see if there's a Windows 7 64bit compatible driver.

dude first 64bit with 2gigs of ram is always going to be a dog. It is the absolute minimum required to work.
I suspect that plus other issues are at work

can you type eventvwr in search. go to the windows logs>application tab.
look for errors ( the have a red warning in the left column) that have app crash, app hang, or the name of the game in them. there will be a bunch of them.
when you find them look for the "event ID" and "source" is, let us know what they are

i try that zigzag and found some errors but not relating to steam or l4d.
what i did was going to option in l4d, click on video and use recommended settings and it work. could it be my graphic card?
