Lag/Freezing while playine online games

Hi i play an online game Voyage century on my laptop, this game allows you to play with more that 1 character at the same time. to get to the point if i have more that 2 characters open at the same time and i fight with the 1 and use skills(like increase attack by 100 for 60 secs) i lag and freeze but it doest affect my other char
The wierd thing is that it runs fine to my dektop computer
my specs are

6gb Ram
Intel(R) core(TM) Duo CPU p7450 @ 2.13ghz (2CPUS)-2.16 ghz
Grahpic card i think is NVDIA GeForce GT240
463 gb harddrive 324 is free
i am using a Laptop
i dont know if driver are uptaded


Anyone know what could be the problem


PS sometimes i do some wierd things like opening my antivirus or a mozilla browser and sometimes the lag disapiars for some seconds

How fast is your internet speed? Most games will run fine on at least 6M.

ok i must admit my internet connection is weak but it runs fun is my DektoP PC witch isnt much stronger

Hi Alex, I think it is a conflict with the video card and the game and windows 7. I also have the GT240 and could previously run up to 8 clients without dramas on VCO (great game by the way) using Windows XP Pro. Now with the same hardware, I can't run 1. Tempted to go back to XP, but I know it cant be a VCO/Win 7 problem as most people will be running Win7, so it must be a combination of the 3. I will continue investigating and update here if I solve it.
