I am having issues connecting to my router from my desktop computer. When I log in to Windows, I am told Windows is "Identifying" the network and then that I am connected to an "Unidentified Network". This connection was previously working fine. It is not a Bonjour issue as some others have had; I have already removed Bonjour from the system. The content from ipconfig /all is shown below.

Code:

Additionally, I know my router settings are still okay and haven't changed, since neither my laptop or my DIRECTV adapter, both connected wirelessly, have had any issues.

I am at a dead loss as to what the problem is. I would appreciate any help anyone could offer.

Thank you in advance,
Joel

Some additional information: whenever I try to modify the adapter settings, for instance when I tried to uninstall the nVidia ethernet driver, I was shown a continuous progress bar, no progress was made and I was eventually forced to restart the computer.

Your default gateway looks like it has part of an IPv6 address before the actual gateway address, this doesn't look right to me.

Try running this batch file which will reset winsock, reset the TCP/IP stack and release renew your IP.

If that is the case then your router must be outdated because the Ipv6 protocol has been around quite awhile.

I have seen the IPv6 in Windows 98 and above.. possible earlier than that but for sure with Windows 98. You will only use IPv6 for Win 7's homegroup.. I just turn it off. The world hasn't ran out of IP address yet to switch over to IPv6.
