Can anybody help?
I have a HP620 laptop running windows 7 pro that I am connecting to my ps3 with a network cable and making use of my 3g modem to access online gaming?
Everything was working fine and all of a sudden it just stopped without me touching or adjusting any settings. I am able to connect using my wifes laptop which is running XP so there is definitely no issue with the 3g, cable or ps3.
A few things I have noted but am unsure on how to fix or whether they are correct:

A few things I have noted but am unsure on how to fix or whether they are correct:
- The LAN is a public network which seems to be a problem however I am not sure if it always was.
- The LAN in network and sharing centre is showing as an "Unidentified network" with "no network access"
- IPv4 and IPv6 is showing as "not connected"
- When I diagnose the LAN an error is showing "Local Area Network does not have a valid IP configuration"
- I have shared the 3g internet connection to the LAN
- I have set IPv4 to obtain IP adresses automatically
- The LAN is enabled
- I have tried everything I have found on PS3/Windows forums but to no avail.
