Local computer is W7 Pro/64. Remote computer is an old Windows 2K machine used for backup and printer server, but it is like an old friend, and I would hate to have to replace it. Can still log on to remote desktop, but mapped drives on the same computer are not accessible. After a restore back to before the last Windows Update, and everything comes back. Any suggestion which specific update might be the cause, or which settings I might tweak to get things working?

Not exactly solved, but at least fixed (for me). Reinstalled all the Feb updates one at a time, and no more problem. No idea why.
