Language Packs

I installed all the language packs, and noticed 2 shortcuts on my desktop for Koreaon websites.
Korea Messenger Center
Korea Media Player Center

These are the websites they link to:

Other than that, are there any other extras that come along with installing language packs?

They are also installed in the Start Menu.

Resolved:
1. Korean government requires MS to place these shortcuts onto the desktop and start menu.
2. MS does not endorse or warranty the websites or software.
3. This is the only third-party add-on when installing language packs. The rest of them don't do this.

Language pack adds only the language, there should not be any extras extras. Are you sure those shortcuts were added by language pack?

I have been using language packs since Vista Ultimate made it possible, currently this machine I'm using now has English Seven Ultimate with Finnish, Swedish and German language packs installed. I have never seen or heard a language pack to install anything else than the language.

I'm not sure where they came from. I installed W7 on a clean hard drive. Then I ran Windows Update. Then I installed my nVidia Driver and Sound Driver. That's when I noticed those 2 shortcuts to Korean websites sitting on my desktop. I didn't think it was from installing my drivers. So I figured it had something to do with Windows Update.

What is going on????


EDIT: Solved!!. The solution is that all the language packs can be installed fine. With the exception of the Korean language pack. The Korean government requires MS to place these 2 shortcuts onto the desktop when the user installs the Korean language pack.

Good to know, even I do not think I am going to install Korean language pack
