Language switching by shift+ctrl is too slow

Hey guys,
I wonder if someone did encounter following problem:
After pressing shift+ctrl, it takes a few seconds before language actually switches.

So I'm typing in Russian & English languages, and very often after I switch language and then start typing, first 1-2 symbols are in previous language. For example:

>> Выключи ылype (I thought to type "skype", but language switched too slow and first two letters were typed in previous language)

Anyone has an idea what to check\how to fix this? I.e. maybe raise a priority of some process?

I've got windows server 2008 R2 with all updates applied.
I have quite a powerfull PC: Core i5 650 and 8 GB of RAM, so this is not the source of problem

How many languages are installed? The more languages installed, the longer any language operation takes (including updating them with patches and service packs). I'm not sure that has anything to do with it, of course, but if you've got 5+ languages installed, it could be. Otherwise, perhaps reviewing a process monitor log running to capture the language switch might give you an idea what the system is doing at the time.
