Solved Laplink Gold for Windows - conflict with VIPRE

FYI: My experience under Windows 7 (x64), over several years, is that Laplink Gold for Windows (currently 15.102.121.0) runs well alongside VIPRE Advanced Security (and Malawarebytes). But I’ve recently encountered an APPCRASH [+], and an inability to launch Laplink Gold in the connected system, a laptop.

After consulting with Laplink themselves, and trying different versions, the problem was resolved by disabling VIPRE Advanced Security (currently v11.0.3.20 + defs 71748) during file transfers (via black USB cable).
