help! I've had a few problems in the past installing windows automatic updates, but at least the computer would boot up. Now, no matter what mode I try to start in, I get to a screen that says " configuring updates stage 3 of 3 0% complete" It stays here for about 5 minutes, all of a sudden says "100% complete" goes into reboot mode and comes back to the same screen again. Its been doing that all morning.
I am running a Toshiba satelite with windows 7 ( I think ) and vista home premium 32 bit.
Each time I reboot, it starts with the "windows did not shut down properly" screen. I have tried to reboot in all other modes. Any ideas?

Waynard,
Follow JMH's direction in getting your system back then a tip when installing updates.
1. Download all the smaller files first.
2. Download the bigger files separately...one at a time
3. Once all have downloaded successfully Re-Boot your system.
These steps have saved my bacon(and others) many times. Seems like(with some computers) downloading all the updates at ONE time bog the system down.

Post back if any and all info has helped you.
