Solved laptop charger needs to reconnect multiple times to get a charge
i have a very old dell inspiron n4110 laptop i have no problems using it for the past 6 months until i notice this behaviour

- It may not charge if it gets to a threshold set point. This set point may be something like 50%, 80% or 100%.
Set points below 100% are intent to extend battery life.
- Is your battery healthy? Batteries that don't hold charge can damage the internal power supply. In this case remove the bad battery and work on the charger and / or replace the battery.

thanks for the replies i guess the battery would be the culprit. but i think i change both of them to be sure currently the battery is still intact on the laptop should i remove it? im not using the laptop atm until i got some replacement

Have you seen if the laptop has a Battery extended mode as I described on Post #2?
