Laptop freezes for 1 minute & makes a loud buzzing noise in my room

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop, about 4 years old.

I've had this problem for a while now. Whenever I take my laptop inside my bedroom, unplugged or plugged in, doesn't matter, when I try to watch a YouTube video, 10-30 seconds in my laptop freezes and makes a loud buzzing noise from either my headphones or speakers (depends on what I'm using). If I leave it in my room it can take up to 1 minute to recover, while if I grab it and walk out of my room, and go to the living room it recovers immediately. My bedroom is 11-12 meters away from the router (I'm 99% sure this is an internet issue), and I have 3-4 bars of internet connection when inside it.
We also have an old computer (like 2008 or something, but the specs are pretty bad) and when we used to have it inside my bedroom it would never crash (we use wireless internet with the desktop as well, with a usb wireless adapter). Both are running the same operating system (Windows 7)

This has been a problem since the first time I tried to take my laptop in my room. Due to this problem, I am forced to do everything on my living room aka no privacy. I'm begging for a solution.
I did not buy this laptop, it was a gift from someone from what I remember. It used to have a hard drive which broke (had this problem with the first harddrive), so we changed to another harddrive, then that broke as well and now i'm using a Kingston SSD, and the problem is still here. I know its not a harddrive issue, just stating that the problem still persisted with 3 different drives.

Specs (from dxdiag):
Gyazo - 1a135dd5a8e42f051c01b0bba3dbd0ef.png

I hope you can help me.

Unsure why it would give buzzing noises, vice simply show that it was busy buffering the signal due to marginal internet connection, but, some laptops are more sensitive than others regarding connection to wireless routers; my own laptop will freeze it's camera during a Skype call if I tilt the display more than 4-5 degrees, and my own router is only 10 feet away.

Your options are:

A.resort to a wired connection, or,
B. perhaps to disable your laptops current wireless, and purchase some sort of USB wireless adapter to see if it's connection qualities are better
C. There's at least a small chance the issue could be weak/marginal receive qualitlies from your existing router, as well.....

Thank you for replying

A. It would be pretty hard to get wired connection to this laptop, we would have to move the router in my bedroom.

B. I've already tried two USB adapters, different brand, same result.

C. That's a possibility, but I get the same issues when I connect to the neighbor's internet (same ISP however.). I forgot to add that we used to have a different router about two years ago, same ISP ofc, and same issues.

I forgot to add that, when this freezing happens, my mouse, keyboard and even the lights that determine whether CAPS/NUMLOCK are enabled become unresponsive.

Im pretty sure.

Ive tried 3 different adapters:

The laptops default one: freezing and buzzing while watching a video or doing something heavy
TP-LINK usb adapter: freezing and buzzing etc.
Another usb adapter (dont remember the brand): same stuff

Oh, I'd also like to add that, when my neighbour's internet was password-free, i tried connecting, and got the same results.

When you take the laptop into your bedroom, do you set it on a hard surface like a desk, or do you put it directly on the bed or your lap?

If you are putting it on a soft surface then you're most likely blocking the vents and the laptop is getting too hot.

I always put it on my desk (wooden)

I've just done a clean windows re-installation, not necesarilly for this issue.
I don't know if it matters but I thought I'd post it. I'll retry to see if the problem still persists.
If it does persist will I need to re-post the .nfo?

Alright so, apparently the wireless adapter driver i had was 9 years old.. (from 2k6)
I used a tool called "IObit Driver Booster" which scans your computer for outdated drivers, lists them and gives you the abillity to update them to their latest version. I've used products from IObit before, they make great stuff
Download Driver Booster 2 Free, the most Effective Driver Updater, to Update Drivers in ONE Click | IObit

Updating the driver(s) with their little tool seems to have solved my issue. I've been in my room playing a bunch of videos for the past half hour and still no crashing or buzzing.

I'm not marking this as solved yet as I want to make sure that the problem is completely gone, but once I make sure Ill post again

:D
