Laptop hang with buzz sound, persist after reformatting

It seems that my laptop is fine now.

Hasn't encountered the freeze and buzzing and the intel graphics updated year 2013 instead of previous 2010.

Sounds fine. All the drivers have got the drivers, too.

Now observe the situation for a few days. Let us know how it is running. Also report us for any further issue.

I just encountered a freeze. It comes shortly after installing mpc video player and while using it.

After that, I hard reset and uninstall mpc and chose to play using windows media player.

Some of the codecs of MPC can cause it. VLC is the best one in the market, give it a try.

Thanks for the recommendation. The freezing and buzzing persist. It occurs while streaming using firefox.

Disable hardware acceleration in firefox. First click on the three lines on the top right corner, then click on options.

In the resulting window, click on Advanced and uncheck Use Hardware Acceleration.

Click OK.

See if it does any change there.

By the way, are you sure that it is not just a video buffering and a pure freezing?

Cause the screen hanged/freeze, mouse unable to move with Buzzing sound. I doubt its the video buffering.

Laptops usually run a bit hotter than desktops, but still the temps are not very fair IMHO.

Depending on the age of the computer, I would say that it will need a dusting. Overheating may cause all those freezing. But opening a laptop computer is not very easy .... you may need to take the assistance of a professional for this purpose.

Get the laptop a cleanup and new thermal paste to the CPU heatsneak. See if it changes the situation or not. Let us know.

Yeah, after seeing the temperature and the laptop frequently coming out with "running" sound. Guess you're right about it. Will go ask about the price for the fixup first. As for age, its about 2 years old

The BIOS date goes back to 4 years.

You may search in your laptop manufacturer's site, using your laptop's model number. They may have an updated BIOS there.
