Hey everyone.
My 2 year old Dell Inspiron™ 1545 Laptop has been running hot the past few weeks. Of course, I know what to do when this happends. This what I've done to ensure that it stays cool.
1) Got access to the fan, cleaned it out properly and made sure there was no dustbugs in there.
2) Checked programs that could be causing this.
3) Cut down on the amount of programs open.
And I also done many more procedures. I thought cleaning out the fan would work. This has never happened before, my laptop usually runs cool (if not, warm. But never HOT). It's just now when it's starting to get hotter. Room temperature is about average so I know that it isn't room temperature that's the culprit. I was thinking it might be my power supply but I'm not sure on that.
Is there anything else I could do to ensure my laptop runs cool? It usually gets hot around the Touchpad area and part of the palmrest. Any advice on what else I could do would be amazing.
Thanks,
Ishmael9100
EDIT: One thing I forgot to mention is that the Laptop fan runs more than it doesn't, which then means that a lot of hot air is being released.
