Laptop making beeping noises

Hi

So today my laptop started to freeze ALOT and a error message saying windows is not reaping keeps coming. So I restart my laptop and then it does same thing again I Peres Ctrl alt del and then three Louis beeping noises come all the same length like beep beep beep?

Edit: just rebooted and when it was on my desktop it froze and a windows error message came up saying windows is not responding and it Ives me two options 1.end windows or 2. Wait for it to respond I clicked 2 and it turned to a grey screen and after 15 mins it came back to life

Please help

Hi,

My first bit of advice would be to run Windows Defender Offline. This is NOT Windows Defender but instead a program created by Microsoft to scan your computer for viruses/malware before windows boots. Windows Defender Offline

If that scan comes up clean, follow the steps outlined in this tutorial: Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot

Did the virus test an I had a few viruses but they're gone now, but same thing still happens??

The beeping noises happened once or twice

I can boot up from safe mode

What I mean about windows not responding is the screen turns grey then on the left side of screen. Dialog box appears and says windows has stopped responding it may respond if you wait for it and then It gives me two options cancel or wat for response if I click wait fr response it takes fifteen mins to respond

Hi Xgillman, Is your laptop overheating ? Heat problems can show themselves in many ways ,Have you tried a system restore ? http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html or ran the system file checker? http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html to see if you have any corrupted system files ?

It may be worth checking the temps in your system download this below and run as administrator:

Post the temperature for your cpu in your next reply.

Please also download memtest86 and burn to cd below and test your ram sticks individually do five passes and post any errors found.

I would hold off on a system restore just because they may put the removed viruses back on. Run the Systm File Checker and do as TheCyberMan recommended.
