Hi,

Recently I have bought a Samsung R440 laptop which have worked well for the past 3 weeks. However, recently, my comp have lagged beyond any possible usage all of a sudden one day. This prompted me to search for any possible solution and I have performed a rollback to an earlier date together with deselecting certain programmes on starting windows from services.msc. This however have resulted in my subsequent internet problem.

I have tried the following methods already but am still unable to find any plausible solution:
1. finding bonjour
2. doing winsock reset and related commands in cmd
3. changing IPv4 or IPv6 to automatic(already was) in network centre
4. Uninstalling driver so that it reinstalls immediately
5. finding updates, it states that I have the most updated driver

On my comp for connection status, both IPv4 and IPv6 have no internet and network access respectively. Another thing to note is that I am also unable to connect using my mobile broadband(although i'm 'connected', there's no internet access)

I've tried many solutions these few days but are still unable to solve. Any kind souls please help me:(

How do you connect to the internet? Are you ethernet connected or are you trying to connect wireless? Setting services to Manual is preferred to disabling, if needed they can start. Since you have only had the computer a short time, consider a system restore...

Hey Holt and sparkie rlly thanks for the prompt replies.

Turns out that the problem was caused by my antivirus programme norman, afterwhich i uninstalled and my internet was up again. What a relief. I've read so much about this related problem and hope that people who are also suffering from the same problem will give this solution a shot.

I think you mean Norton Internet Security, it causes problems like this all the time.
