Hi, When I've had my laptop on battery power where the screen is dimmed to conserve battery after being shut off and last running on battery when I plug it in and start up the screen is still dimmed and not all the way up like it should be. My settings are dimmed on battery and bright plugged in.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

You may need to update the power management driver(s), if any, that are specific to your machine, which should be available from the manufacturer of your machine's support site.

While you're at it, check for other updated drivers and especially for the BIOS. It's really important to have the latest version if you are running W7.

I downloaded and installed all of the win7 64 bit drivers from HP for my laptop after installing win7. I flashed the newest bios before installing win7.
