laptop shutting off without warning

for some reason or another my laptop acts like it crashed and the power stays on and then I have to force the power to go off and when I turn it back on it comes back on and then it says that I got the blue screen on the error and when I try to check for a solution it doesn't show me any solution whatsoever, this has happened to me 3 times since Saturday, any solution that I can use to stop this from happening because my computer is no longer under warranty and I can't afford to replace the hard drive and I just had the hard drive replaced back in April because it crashed and I most certainly can't afford a new computer

Sounds to me like it could be faulty power supply and or power management. If you can; can you upload the logs from the event viewer so we can have a look?

If you go to Start > Computer > System Properties > Advanced System Settings > Advanced Tab > Startup & Recovery : Settings Button > Under "System Failure" - is the "Automatically Restart" box checked?

It may be getting to warm causing the shut down. Do you monitor temps at all? Lap tops are known to get dust buildup on the fan and causing a overheat shutdown problem.

I started a new thread in the BSOD and did all the instructions and no I do not monitor the temp of my laptop, is there a certain program that I can use to do this

I use Core Temp.
Simplest free app I could find for my Toshiba laptop. Option to keep the display visible or hidden.
You can set an alarm to display/sound when a critical temp (a custom setting) is reached. (optional)
Icon is always in the systray. Some other battery apps install their own toolbar.
Systray displays an icon for each CPU core.
