Laptop to TV NO SIGNAL

Hi

For almost a month now i am trying to connect my XPS 17 Dell laptop with my samsung LA32S8 32' LCD but with no success always NO SIGNAL...
-Drivers updated
-Hdmi cable /ports works fine
The strange is that they used to communicate Laptop and Tv
Any idea why this is happening ?

Have you ever used your TV with another HDMI source.
I have Dell XPS Laptop, and I could connect it easily by pressing Fn+F1, and setting it as Extend or Duplicate mode.

They Adviced you to use D-sub cable to connecting Computers, and use HDMI for DVD players. But I don't know why!
