Hey I have a laptop with a resolution of 1366X768 And I am using a HDMI cable to connect it to a 19" 1600X900 TV. My problem is that the TV's edges are cut off, Heres an example Image 1 of 4 in forum thread ?Edges cut off using HDMI??. Thanks PS (my Tv does not have an option to disable Overscan)

A common problem when using a TV as a monitor with a digital input. The only way I was able to fix it is to use the TV's own on-screen menu to manually adjust Vertical height and centering and horizontal height and centering. Fortunately, my TV allows for separate settings for each input so when I switch to TV mode, it looks right there too.

Your only other option may be to use a D-Sub analog (VGA) connection instead of digital (HDMI). But sadly, you lose may lose some image quality that way.

Note this problem is often caused when TVs use 16:9 aspect ratios (best for 1080p HD resolutions) and the computer's graphics solution uses 16:10 (or the other way around).
