Solved Laptop won't start up after deleting Ubuntu partition

This is not a Linux forum nor do we support GRUB which is inimical to Win7. I gave you the tried-and-true steps to rescue Win7 from ruin imposed by Linux Dual Booting.

The screens opens to black with error: no such partition. grub rescue>
I do not know what to do after that.

Am I supposed to have the cd in the tray, power on, and hit f8 over and over to stop it from going to black screen?

Let me see if I understand this: You can install a complicated Dual Boot for a nearly incomprehensible OS ruining your Win7, but don't know how to boot a disk?

The Acer F12 key is used for boot menu.

If you can't get it booting then the steps to rescue your files and clean reinstall are in the Troubleshooting steps, or you can run Acer Restoring a system to factory load

Gregrocker, the computer in question is one that a friend tried to uninstall Ubuntu on, found he was unable to complete the process and just abandoned it a few weeks ago. There's no need to be insulting. Even though I stumbled a few times I was successful in reinstalling Windows 7 without your help. The nature/language of my questions should have been your first clue that I was clueless. Thank you for trying to help me though.
