Laserjet P1006

I installed windows 7 home premium, downloaded hp 64bit software and driver for lasterjet p 1006 and is says installed, everything shows correctly, but it will not print. It sends document to printer, shows it spooling, then after 15 seconds or so, it disappears. Have unistalled, reinstalled, changed permissions, and nothing seems to work. I am trying to use a hp laptop dv7. This set up works at other computers running same windows 7 and printer. so it must be in setup somewhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Type services in search. Make sure print spooler is set to automatic.
