White House down -- seems almost identical type of plot to Olympus has fallen but I preferred this one. Must admit even for my ears all the shooting and special effects got a bit much-- there's barely any intelligent dialog any more though. Fun enough I suppose to pass away a couple of hours.

Another one - Fast and Furious 5 again with not much intelligent dialog and noisy effects but quite watchable - recommend watch at home though - if you see these types of films in a Movie theatre take a set of Ear plugs with you --the noise makes even the loudest Nightclub feel like being in a Church. !!

C'mon Hollywood -- bring back some movies again with a good story line, intelligent dialog and go a bit easier on the effects. The latest bunch of movies are Dire - so apart from Riddick which is due for release soon I can't see what this Xmas will promise for movie fans. Seems to be an awfully barren period currently --same with TV --thank goodness we don't have Reality shows in the movie theatres yet !!.

I loathed Man of Steel and didn't think much of Jack Reacher either. Strangely enough I quite liked John Carter which was panned by the critics.

As for messing about with Batman etc -- leave well alone - trying to make these "Politically correct" or change the main protagonists to pander to gender / race equality is just asinine -- use your imagination and WRITE some NEW stuff for today's kids !! in todays environment.

I'm surprised we haven't got some Rodent or Feline environmental protection group yet requesting "Tom and Jerry" be banned because it's either unfair to cats or mice. !!


(No wonder TNT - classic movie channel - is going from strength to strength -- great to see some of the younger people LIKE some of the old classics and all time greats !!).
