latest win 7 update killed all my gadgets

i had 14 updates hit me last night when i powered down and now today none of my gadgets work. i even tried re downloading them and soon as they try to initialize they get shut down . its almost like microsoft put somthing in to kill gadget use . which pisses me off. is anyone else having this problem and is there a fix . any help would be very much appreciated.. thank you

KB3097877 Cause sidebar/gadgets to stop working. (actually they never start)

and you`ll get a lovely pop up :)

Just uninstall it.

KB3097877 played hell with Realtek Audio on both computers. (Asus Motherboards)
Remove the KB and then Hide it and the audio is back the way it should be.
