The update appears also to be causing WGA problems that I'd normally associate with HD driver problems (usually cleared by the IRST drivers) - but not here, and the other cure doesn't work either. There is an error in the SFC scan that may indicate where the problem lies, and I'm awaiting confirmation from the OP on that.
