LCD Water Damage, Need Help

Hi There,

I have A Sony Vaio Laptop, but I split water into the lcd, i have dried it out but the lcd now has bright spots all over it (see attached images):cry: Is there anything that I would be able to do for example maby disassemble the lcd housing and clean the "optical Layer". Any Help Will Be graciously accepted and also Ps. I'm that kinda person that likes to void warranty to the extreme.

****If this is posted in the wrong "area" may a mod please put into the proper spot****

You, as an individual cannot repair the display, you're only hope is to replace it. A company that rebuilds LCD displays might be able to repair it, but it will require replacing some element of the panel assembly itself. Your hope would be to find a replacement LCD unit and change it yourself. A Guy
