Hey guys,

This issue is for my desktop using Window 7 Ultimate 64-bit and it's been bugging me for awhile and I can't seem to find a solution online for it. The issue is when I have something minimized on the taskbar whether it's pinned on the taskbar or not, a single window minimized or stacked, and I go and left click to bring the window back up I get a right click instead. If anyone has ever right clicked on a program on the taskbar (pinned or active for the time being) you get this menu of recently opened files that are related to the program, that's what I'm getting for a left click on several instances. It's an intermittent problem but one that really annoys. This also started to happen on my laptop which is using Window 7 Premium 32-bit. First I thought it was my mouse screwing up but now that my laptop is doing it I'm second guessing the mouse's fault. Any possible theories? Thanks in advance!

On 2 separate computers? Did you use the same disk to install the OS, did you install the same program on each?

Something you did to both caused this.

Thanks for the quick reply Lordbob, I bought Window 7 Preimum for my laptop when the student promotion was going on and a Window 7 Ultimate 64-bit disc for my desktop so they were install via two different medium. Both clean installs might I add. The issue occurred on my desktop first, which popped up about three months ago. And my laptop caught the same symptoms a month ago. The two computers have more or less the same programs installed with the exception that I do more school work on my laptop, which in affect has a bit different programs installed. I was thinking maybe a Window update did something along the way? Perhaps using a system will help?

Hello Telim, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might double check to see if the mouse left and right button function settings may have gotten reversed somehow.

The problem seems intermittent but is predictable. It occurs when you slightly move the mouse up while left clicking.

A useless and annoying feature. If I wanted to right click I'd right click. Haven't figured out how to turn it off. Please reply if anyone figures out how to disable it.
