Left click will not open folders

I have Win 7 home premium on 3 machines.

On one machine only, a left click on a folder will not open it and brings up the error message to the effect there is no file associated with it. (I have all folders set up to open with a single click.)

The only way to open the folder is to right click then select "open".

Double check you " single click " setting......

Start > search box, type folder options > General tab > under " click items as follows " heading, make sure the blue radio dot is at " Single-click to open an item ( poiny to select ) " > OK when done.

It sounds like your folder associations got messed up somehow. You could download the Folder option in the tutorial below to restore their default associations to see if that may be able to help afterwards.
