Solved Left4dead2 crashes

I really can't understand this but I been playing left4 dead2 since it has come out and it has never crashed up untill now i have dual screen but use the vizio once in a while and when i was it BSOD LIKE 3 TIMES so i figured it was the resoulution

but when i switched to the 22 same thing BSOD i am wondering could it be a driver related issue or is it something i could have installed ?

I have the latest 10.7 ati drivers plus recently i downloaded a win7 codec pack because i needed the ac3 but to no avail file still didnt play right but seems like ever since then it has BSOD and i did remove the codecs and set it back to the original way

also could it be my direct x i remember a time or two i re installed and no issues like that occured anymore

Maybe your graphics card is causing this?

Can you post the BSOD logs please?

BSOD logs can be found in the Minidump folder located at ''C:/Windows/Minidump''.

it wont even let me open the mini dmp with wordpad notebook or adobe i can read the debugging report but not the mini dump so how am i supposed to post this if it cant be read by either adobe or word?

In Steam, right click on Left 4 Dead 2, select properties. Select the 'Local Files' tab, then click 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache'. It will take a few minutes, and if any of the game files are corrupt it will re-download them.

If that doesn't work I would reinstall the video card's drivers. Also you can reset the in game settings to default.

Alright please follow these steps.

1. Locate the log of your last L4D2 related BSOD.
2. Rar/Zip it.
3. Make a thread in the BSOD section.
4. Upload the log there and tell them about your problem.

That way we can know where the BSOD is coming from.

ok im going to try a couple of the options first the steam program then ill do the bsod wish me luck

Rhammstein thank you for the post on steam i think this fixed the issue where it did show 1 files being corrupt i posted what steam told me so i will test the game out as far as the bsod goes i might not need to reseach it but im still willing to do the rar file zip and post just to see if there is any other explanation​

That is because .dmp files must be read with the Windows Debugger. They come out as gibberish if you open them any other way...

well earlier as suggested i went through my steam account and found the culprit i seen the debugginging files etc still didn't make sense when i read it lol

well that much is true lordbob i could see my gpu the operations the very grime of it all but still a little confusing none the less my adobe,word and notepad couldn't even get it to open so much for that

That is because is CANNOT be read by them.....
