I'm looking for drivers for a Lexmark 4300 all in one printer. Lexmark don't actually list it on their site anymore but look - it's real! I'm trying to get this going for a friend anyway so we'll see who it goes. From what I can tell it just hasn't got a driver but I thought maybe someone might know better.

Thanks
Bob

i think the only real solution to this is to load the XP drivers in compat mode http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/316-compatibility-mode.html the options are very limited as the printer is obsolete :(

So with it being a driver (the executable) would I still be able to run that in compatability mode and it wouldn't have any long term affects.

that is correct, there should not be any long term effects , but there is a possibility of not having all the software of the printer working like it did in Xp :(

Give it a try. However, if you have the means to go out and get another cheap printer, I would go ahead and do it. I wasted 7 hours trying to get my Lexmark 8350 to work with 64 Bit Seven-I ended up going to Walmart and buying a new Canon and it ran without a hitch.
