Solved Lexmark P4350 Printer setup file not launching

4 hours and counting and still can't get it to work with my dell inspiron 1405 on windows 7

I know the printer works on windows 7 as I have used it on my computer fine.

To install it I used a windows vista printer driver.

The problem I have is that the setup.exe won't launch on my laptop so I can't finish installing the driver.

Any ideas? (I think it may have to do with services.msc)

TLDR; If I can get the setup.exe file to work, I can fix my printer.

I had a look at lexmark website and found that that particular printer has been discontinued and couldn't find any support for it on there website either.

All Products |Printers & MultiFunction | Lexmark P4350|Lexmark

Might be time for a new printer.

Alternatively you could try to install it in compatibilty mode and see if that works for you.

Hi thanks I have already tried that.

I've contacted Lexmark as well online and they were some what clueless.

I think I'm going to reinstall the system files as I think it is print spooler that has gone messed.

Will let you know how I get on once I have done.
