Lexmark Printer x2480 Driver

I have the original Lexmark installation CD for my x2480 printer but it won't download the driver. I've had the printer for a long time and it has always worked fine. However the Scanner stopped working recently so I downloaded the software from the installation CD again to try to fix the problem. Now the printer doesn't work either and I get a runtime error (drivers\w32x86\3\lxcrtime.exc). I went to the Lexmark site but couldn't find the correct driver to download. Any advise would be appreciated...thanks

Hi Maxie,

I tried downloading the driver from the link you gave me but keep getting this message..

"No drivers or software for this OS were found in the selected language"

Any idea why the driver won't download from my installation CD? I have used the CD before with no problem.

Here is some Information from the Lexmark Website ...


The operating system will install a driver automatically upon detection of your USB or network connected printer. You do not need to download or install any software.

Feature: You will have at least basic print capability with USB and network connections.



If installation of the driver does not occur, then you will need to verify the operating system's Automatic Updates* service is enabled and an active internet connection is available.

NOTE: If both In-OS and Windows Update* drivers are found, the actual driver installation will precede the final Windows Update driver installation.

Lexmark x2480 Printer

I determined that my Lexmark x2480 printer won't work because I don't have Lexmark brand ink installed. Please close this thread...thanks

That is the problem with Lexmark they are good enough Printers ... But the Ink is expensive ..

Many Printers use Smart Chip technology not good for the do it yourself refiller in some cases ...


There are ways round many things Google is your friend ....
