LF free program to convert .avi to iPod Touch compatible format

I also need it to have some more advanced features where I can set resolution, fps, bitrates, etc. I doubt there is a good free one that can do all of that, but I thought I might as well see if anyone knows of one.

If you do not mind learning a bit of encoding, MeGUI is probably the best there is, IMHO.
It is also free.

I have a tutorial on how to set it up, and learn to use it in the tutorial section.

The Tut itself is mainly geared towards encoding HD content, howeever it will basically all be the same. You will want to use a Baseline Profile instead, as shown in this snip.

You can still make adjustments to bitrate and several other quality settings as you see fit.

Resolutions, Resizing etc. will all be done Via AviSynth scripts.

MeGUI is not only capable of all your asking to do, but much,much more. Such as converting your DVD collection into ipod format as well.

The only downside is it will take a little bit of time to learn and get the hang of. But the results are far superior to any automated "Click,Click Go" type of encoder.
