LG cell phone listed along with hard drives - causing crashes...

My stupid LG cell phone is listed along with may harddrives in windows explorer. As far as I can tell, it serves no function being there, but whenever I accidntally click on it, explorer crashes. How can I remove it?

When you first plugged it in, I would think Windows Update installed a driver. Maybe you should see if LG has software for it. The phone should show up as a removable device, in explorer. My Windows phone does.

It may or may not be the best idea, but it can be uninstalled in Device manager. But I believe it should show up when connected. But, as I said, it can be uninstalled. Right click the LG phone and select uninstall. I would try the Update Driver first, though.​

it shows up under "other" and if I try to even right-click on it it, explorer crashes. Does not show up under device manager, I already tried that. Doesn't show up under programs either. I never plugged it in, the most I did was bluetooth sych it so I could offload some photos.

Well, I won't be able to help you then because I have never used Bluetooth. Maybe it is supposed to be there so your computer will recognize it when you connect with it, I really don't know. You could try to go into bios and disable Bluetooth, then see if it goes away. You could enable it later, but it will probably come back when you enable it again and 'connect' the camera. Maybe I should enable Bluetooth on mine. But, I'm old fashioned, I just use a USB cable.

I'm surprised you don't have that option. Not everyone has Bluetooth capability. It can be disabled in Bios, at least it can be on all of my machines.
