Ok, I bought new monitor LG IPS236V-PN. When i connect it with DVI-D cable everything is ok. But with HDMI connection, I've got 1cm black margins on top and botom of the screen and about 2cm on left and right sides. Also, when try to install driver from CD it told me every time "Installation aborted"! I,ve got Sapphire ATi Radeon HD 5770 Vapor-X. I installed drivers manualy and system recognized it as type and mode connection (HDMI in this case), but margins still exists. And yes, I try it on Win 7 64-bit, Linux Ubuntu and Mac OS X Lion and the same thing hapend.

Please help!

Thank you in advance!

Use your AMD Vision Control Center to adjust. (or ATI Catalyst)

Try it already but nothing. And few min ago I found out that I've got full screen without margins when I put resolution to 1680 x 1050. But with DVI-D on 1920 x 1080 work normal like I said before.

I think latest ccc doesn't have overscan option, no more.

I have the same problem. When I try 1680 x 1050 the black margins disappear, but come back again when I use 1920 x 1080. I have changed the overscan option on the monitor menu to on, and but still the margins is there. I have about 1 cm on all sides.

It's not enough to put it "ON" only. It is also necessary to move slider at the side where "overscan" is written. Did you do that already?

I have a horizontal and vertical option close to the overscan option, but somehow these are not available to change - they have gray color. These settings remain unchangeable even when I try change overscan between on and off.

Ok, first of all, tell me which type of GPU you have and also version of installed driver. After that I can tell you what you should do.

Cheers
