Solved Libraries - Subfolders changing paths

Hi friends!

I'm experiencing a very strange bug with a custom library. On the odd occasion when I open an explorer pane and navigate to my library on the left-hand side, two of my included folders - which are both located in 'C:\Program Files\...' will change to a non-existent 'C:\Program Files (x86)\...' version of the same folder. If I click on that folder in the library pane it will tell me the folder doesn't exist.

It happens infrequently but often enough to be annoying. It's not immediately clear what causes it or why it stops. When it happened just now I closed all open explorer panes and opened a new one, and the library displayed the correct 'non x86' folder structure.

Any idea what causes this and how it can be avoided?

Thanks!

Adam

Hello again, conspicuously silent friends!

Bumping because I found out how to reliably reproduce this phenomenon.

If I open an explorer windows by going through the task bar, My Documents or My Computer (etc.), the library's subfolders are correct.

If I'm using Google Chrome and I try to 'save file as' on anything, the library will have the non-existent (x86) folder structure. This does not happen if I try to save files when using Internet Explorer... but that's hardly an acceptable workaround.

Any ideas as to why Chrome would be doing this?

Cheers!

Just a thought.
Are you using Chrome x86 or Chrome x64. There are 2 versions so you might need to delete the 32 bit version & download the 64 bit version & install it.

Dude! I am not sure how I managed to install the 32-bit Chrome, but I did as you suggested and replaced it with the 64-bit version and that issue disappeared. Thank you kindly!
