Not by use of a library as far as I know, but you should be able to create a search and save it which will give you what you want.

simply open the root folder of where you wish to search click on the TYPE option in search box options and select from the list provided or manually add =xxx. when the search is complete select save search

Hi Markus,

Just checked and I can confirm what Barman said.

You can save the search, and it will create a folder like item under search and under favorites.

But adding it to a library is not possible.

greetings.

Create a library, add folders then click on "arrange by", select "type" then select the type of file you are interested in. Your library will now show all the files of that type over all the directories that you added to the library.

The library view is saved so next time you pull up that library it will continue display all the files of that type across all the folders of your library

wont it just collate all the files of diferent types also but section them into the diferent types

i think the op jst wants a collection of one filetype in a library folder

pretty old thread also!
