I have searched up and down the corners of the internet to try and rememdy my problem.

First, my webcam wouldnt work AT ALL in WLM. It'd work in everything else BUT Windows Live Messenger. Only the microphone from it would work. I reinstalled the drivers and I GUESS that fixed it...but here is the problem. When I have a video call with someone on MY END it has the image of a webcam with the red X, meaning its not working. But to my surprise, it actually works just fine for the person I'm having a contact with!

I'm glad my webcam works and all, but it's kind of a nuisance having it trick me into thinking it's NOT working. Is there a way to solve this? I'm almost too scared to mess with anything else now that the camera is actually FUNCTIONING...BARELY.

Thanks for any help in advance and I can provide more details if needed.

Yes, in fact that may have been what got it somewhat-working in the first place. I believe they were the Lifecam 3.0 drivers for Windows 7 (32 bit)

Please take a look at the link I posted the first go around it was incorrect and was actually an animated emoticon taking a photo using an old fashioned bulb flash, I have now corrected it.

Well it shows that my webcam is working now. But a problem still persists...

When a contact tries to invite me to view webcam, it instantly says I declined, like I dont have a webcam or whatever. I guess said contact is trying to JUST have a video call, not an actual call with audio AND video. But I apparently can only invite her to an A/V call but when she tries to invite me it declines.
