i updated windows 7 then when i tried to connect to the internet it said limited access. help its not even my lap

Not A GURU, Can it be assumed that you are trying to connect via wireless? If so then you might have to take a look at your wireless settings to make sure that you are trying to connect to the correct wireless network. Or your wireless adapter might be turned off.

If it is hard wired, then you need to check your Ethernet adapter settings to make sure that the power is on? If so, can you see blinking lights where the wire goes into your computer to the Ethernet board?
