Limited options after multiple recovery still no hardware

I've been going in circles for a year now....I completed HP Min Image restore and backed up everything I could. I cannot install HP hardware and windows is partially functional on surface installs updates but errors before can be set up.
I've tried to follow step by step many different options which isnt easy since I am always missing a piece of the puzzle.
Now I still have recovery partition, no option to update or reactivate Windows. After ordering 2nd set of recovery discs HP tells me using the discs probably caused my problems but I'm out of warrenty and out of luck... any advice is appreciated!!!

Is format and clean install an option ?

What is the problem now stopping the pc functioning ? recommend you run some bootable hardware tests to check the basics like ram (eg memtest) and HDD (eg seatools)

All tests passed...I've used OEM discs and tools guess I'll try burn ISO I'm limited on boot options and full of errors with backup attempts ....not a fan of HP at the moment

You should delete (from this thread) or at least alter that Belarc report you have uploaded.

It shows your Windows 7 Home Premium license key, which you don't want broadcasted to the world--which is what you have done by posting it here. It's useful to thieves.

The Belarc report says the SMART status of your hard drive is healthy---that's good, but not conclusive about your hard drive.

At this point, you could have hardware problems or software problems. We can't tell.

You could try another recovery from your recovery partition. If you have failed with it before, it may fail again.

Greg's link will show you how to do a clean install. That would get rid of the HP stuff on your PC.

But clean installs or recoveries are not going to cure bad hardware. Nonetheless, I'd try one or the other.

What specific hardware testing have you done?

Ok Greg's link was great and Im sure its something I'm NOT doing but as I download drivers from HP website, appears as completed, I cant find them. I still have no graphics card will not allow Nvidia and Ive only a few intel. I dont have the options of including hardware with win updates and of course HP Assistant says everythings great with partial system...So someone please tell me what I;m missing. Oh this is new, led on fingerprint reader is blinking and my BIOS doesnt always show....All scans ERROR FREE!!!????

At this point, what are you trying to do? A clean install per Greg's link?

Or something else such as a restore from a recovery partition?

If you are trying to do a clean install, you should not need any drivers from the HP site other than the LAN driver to establish an Internet connection.

Your Windows 7 Product Key is still being shown to the world through that Belarc file---I'm guessing that's OK with you.

Did you follow these steps from Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7:

9. The installer is mostly driver-complete, with newer arriving quickly via optional Windows Updates. Just in case, have your Wireless or Ethernet LAN driver on flash stick or CD so you can install it to get online quickly - these can be found on the Support Downloads webpage for your model computer . Then enable hardware driver auto-updating and check for optional Updates.

10. Any drivers still missing in Device Manager after several rounds of Updates can be found on the Support Downloads webpage for your model computer or device, along with possibly needed hotfixes which you can also wait to see if you need. Driver Install - Device Manager
• Unknown Devices are often SID card readers, can be traced using Hardware Identification.
• Co-processor, USB and Storage controllers are elements of the chipset.

After all updates are complete, which drivers are still missing in Device manager?

Yes I followed as much as possible... Same problems, windows won't install drivers (errors 10,30,31) 008 errors on some updates, no option in windows update for hardware and will not allow me to change product key. I used the COA key during install and again (changed product key) but still shows OEM key. No graphics card,motherboard reader sound device just few missing but device manager also non functional. All tests scans good no errors.

What do you mean by "I followed as much as possible"?

there is No as much as possible. That is like saying Almost pregnant. Follow ALL of the instructions. Which is basically erase the drive completely and reinstall clean.

Of course I did that I was referring to a complete backup.
