Hi everyone,
I have Windows 7 Home Premium on Drive C and Windows 8.1 Pro on Drive D, both x64. Is there any way I can boot to Drive D (Win8) from within (Win7 desktop) on Drive C? Or even switch drives via a j link. This may well be a question that needs to be put on the Win8 Forum as well as here.
I know I can choose Win 8 or Win 7 on the boot choice menu where Win 7 boots by default after 5 seconds; this is how I access Win 8 if I'm quick enough! I have a work around in the opposite direction from Win 8 where I have a Restart button on the desktop hiding under a nice Win7 icon. On the Win7 desktop I have a link to My Computer screen and Drive D where I can access all the files and move files back and forth between drives, but I can't actually boot Win8 from Win 7...Or can I? If any of you
knowledgeable guys can put me wise I would be grateful.
Before anyone asks why... I installed Windows 8 as a trial on Drive D and decided like many others that it was not for me. Win 8.1 is now the repository for my 7 year old son's games and videos...He loves it!
