Linksys Wireless PCI Card making Windows freeze?

Have got Windows 7 Build 7077 x64 Installed (but this has been happening since Build 7000), plugged in Linksys Wireless-N PCI Card WMP300N, Installed Drivers. Now between 1 min and 10 mins of turning the PC on the whole PC will freeze and the screen will have a strange colour pattern on it.

Any ideas what could be causing it? I'm using the latest Linksys Drivers, all current Windows Updates are Installed, Motherboard Chipset Drivers are Installed.

Cheers.

It's Linksys ... it took them long enough to release Drivers for Vista...

Can you use the generic drivers that Windows 7 comes with? I installed 7 and still haven't installed my drivers. Windows just picked them up automatically.

If all else fails, you could just hard wire your computer.

I call it the craptop.
Probably the drivers but I would try the card in another available PCI slot.

Windows 7 doesn't have generic Wireless Drivers for this Card. Windows Update does, but the same thing happens.

I didn't think of that, but it made no difference. :(

you are saying these are the latest vista drivers correct?
one thing you can do is use the vista drivers on the cd and see if those make a difference..
im guessing something must have broke in the current drivers.....
also i donot recomend installing the linksys software as all you really need are drivers, win7 can take care of connecting you to your Access point...

I have windows 7 Rc installed with netgear ma311 pci card installed it was an older card because my newer card kept freexing. so it depends on the card and the driver installed. the original card i tried to install was the netgear wg311t from windows 7 IT FROZE BUT THE OTHER card WHICH ONLY HAD WINDOWS XP DRIVERS NO VISTA DRIVERS IT WORKED WITH OUT A PROBLEM I THINK THAT THE VISTA DRIVERS MAY BE INCOMPATIBLE.
