Is 802.11g fast enough to stream IPTV? If yes, how?

:) Thanks all.

802.11g has a nominal data transfer speed of 54Mbps, although in practice it is likely to be closer to 30Mbps. Unless you have an internet connection of 20Mbps or more, the limitations of 802.11g aren't going to impact on your internet download speeds.

In any case, you can test for your self by comparing performance with a "wired" ethernet connection to your router, which will run at 100Mbps.

Are you saying if I Ethernet from port 2 (from the router) to the Home Theater I'd be okay?
Would that be fast enough?

Try an 802.11g wireless connection and if that has problems, an ethernet connection running at 100Mbps will be faster.
