list view / sort by name

wasn't sure where to post this. i have a ton of files and folds to file away. i would like it when i choose sort by name to not just do the folders first then the files after the folders. i mean i want say folder abc, file abc, folder bcd, file bcd instead of folder abc, folder bcd, file abc, file bcd. it would make it so much faster to sort through what can be deleted before moving what i want to keep. is there any way to do this?

I would love to get a solution to this problem, but I am still waiting, too.

Hello Semoi, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you like, a workaround would be to use the tutorial below to disable auto arrange. Afterwards, you will be able to manually arrange them in any order and/or position you like.

There likely isn't a setting or option to sort that way automatically, and for good reason. That could be bad/dangerous/confusing to have files and directories mixed together.
