Hello,
Is there any security improvements in Live account / Hotmail?

I use live account, skydrive and smartphone with Windows Phone. Recently I started to think about all my data safety... if anyone capture / find my live password, he can delete all my skydrive data (when I start computer, skydrive app will remove data from my computer too!), purge my mobile remote, change password recover options... nightmare...

I've used GMail long time, and there is two-step verification using mobile and SMS. I think is unlikely to capture my account and steal my mobile in the same time, so it's more secure.

Is there any way to help protect Live account?

You might be over thinking this. As long as you use a secure password, you are safe. The only way an attacker is going to capture your password, a) you give them physical access to your machine (and or your passwords are in plain view, post-it notes, etc.), b) you give the attacker your password out right (phishing page for example).
