Windows 7 x64 + Creative Live Cam Vista IM (VF0420) = FAIL

i tried the vista x64 and xp x64 drivers and neither worked. also i tried to run them in compatibility mode and then troubleshoot the exe and windows asked me the OS with whom the drivers worked and checked vista sp1,sp2 and xp sp1,sp2 and also neither of them worked. am i doing anything wrong or do i have to wait for the official drivers?

The problem could possibly be the installer & not the drivers.

If you have the option you could download the drivers in ZIP format and unzip to a easy-to-remember folder. Then, in device manager, right-click the device for your webcam (it may be an unrecognised device) and 'Update Driver software...' then click 'Browse my computer for driver software...' and point it in the direction of the folder you just created.

This should now go through the installation of the driver without using the Install package.

Hope this helps :)

so it turned out to be driver problem...i went to creative s website and clicked automatic software update and it downloaded me a different version of the driver (VF0260) which i ran in Vista compatibility mode and my webcam is working now...it strange because when i selected the driver manually the picture of the webcam VF0420 corresponded with mine and others weren t there...so thumbsdown for creative support :D...

SOLVED!
