LIVE FILE burning mystery

Hi guys

I've been burning files with the LIVE FILE system, the files do copy and I'm able to close session "properly" to eject the disc.

When I put BACK the dvd/cd, I can see that files have been written because a few GB of used space are shown (2.33gb free of 4.38gb).

HOWEVER, when I click on the folder, all my files are gone!

All I have is a "hidden" notepad file, "DESKTOP" and everything else is gone :( and i've noticed that the disc/drive makes a really slow noise, not the super fast spin it usually makes when the drive is reading.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you :) I've added system specs.

The drive does play all types of DVDs/CDs, and seems to burn 1-time sessions perfectly.

Still wondering why the Live File discs randomly 'eat up' all my files... can I still locate them in a hidden disc location? It does show there's data written on it - but nowhere to be found :/

Well I don't use the Live File System but I am sure you will be familiar with this!

From what little I know of this subject, it looks as if you might be as well to try a different make disc. Different manufacturers use different dyes to coat the discs, some work, some don't so this might be an easy answer. As you have a Samsung writer can you try a Samsung disc?
