Live Mail some FWD message gives header ok date 01/01/1601 nothing els

I have windows live mail and some messages are being received incomplete. The message will go into the inbox and display the attachment symbol, a white envelope with the corner missing, the header - Fwd: proper header details, and the proper date it is received.
However, when I try to open the email I get
Fwd:the proper header
() 0 Add contact 01/01/1601 00:00
To:
_______________________________________________________________________________________
then nothing else

if I use OutLook the message displays properly.

However, I have several email accounts on Live mail and do not want Outlook.

Any one out there with a fix for me please

Hello and welcome 19BIGAL49 for starters check the date and time settings in the Control Panel if no good
then run these please

Thanks but no joy.
As it works ok on Outlook but not on Windows Live Mail I assume the problem is within Windows Live Mail somewhere

It does not matter which provider you use.

Thanks but the problem is in windows live mail so the settings you have provided do not show up in live mail. or at least i can't find them in live mail.

Well personally I would reinstall WLM because it sounds it is corrupted in some way of the Outlook is working ok.

Now if I ma not badly mistaken they (M$) want us to go over to Outlook and I find it such an irritating email service and maybe you have installed some updates that have forced you over. But I also might be being a tad suspicious but it has come to that now eh?

Just out of interest what have you got listed in Programs and Features in the control panel?
