Live mail versus Outlook Express

When I had Outlook Express for email, there was a link enabling me to select a color from several, and apply it to the body of the email. Is there a way to do that with Live Mail? Thanks.

Are you using LM 2010 or 2011? I have 2011 and if you have it set to Plain Text then you can't set a color but if you switch to Rich Text (HTML) then you can change fonts and colors.

I have LM 20011 and it is set to HTML. If I understand your post correctly I should be able to color an email. If so can you please tell me how it's done. Thanks. Hal.

Hmmm... Maybe I misunderstood what you were trying to do. Do you mean using diffrent colored fonts or do you mean setting the background color?

In order to use different color fonts, just select what color you want the text to be from the font color tool:

I don't know how you can change the background color, although you could use the highlight tool to highlight selected text:

I think the background color of previous versions was set using "Stationary", which was removed from the 2011 version of WLM.
