Live movie maker Error Code 0xC00D0BC4

I can't seem to save a video using Live Movie maker. I've tried everything!
I get the message "Movie maker cannot save your movie using the selected setting" with the Error Code 0xC00D0BC4. HELP!

Exactly which settings did you try using when saving the movie?

Nearly all of them

I even tried just loading a single picture and saving it. Nothing will save! I can only save as a project (.wlmp file). I'm baffled!

We need to know which setting you tried to apply when saving the movie, any anomaly among them can result in that error code.

I tried all the options on the right side of the first screen shot. the second is the error I'm getting. Could I be missing a codec? I;t tries to save as a .wmv file if that helps any. Thanks!

I'm not sure,it's a video from my cell phone. But I tried one with just a couple of jpeg's
in it and got the exact same results.

Can you upload the movie clip to a server so that I can download it and have a look for you? Try attaching one of the JPEG's to this forum and I will upload it from there!

Thanks! here is one I just tried and got the error.

Well I have just downloaded the file, inserted it into WMM, saved it as a .wmv file and uploaded the result to You Tube. Its here;

As it works OK on my system I can only assume that your copy of WMM is corrupt. Perhaps an uninstall and reinstall is in order. You will find it under Windows Live essentials. (Though to be honest I think that is a misnomer! )

Thanks much for all the effort. I've already reinstalled it several times so I guess I'll reinstall windows 7.

Try scannow first, might save a complete reinstall. Click start and in the search box type sfc /scannow (make sure you get a space between the "c" and the"/". Then click on the result at the top. Might just be a corrupt file and this should find and repair it!
