Hello,

Brand new W7 user.
Not too sharp with this stuff, honestly.

I have a new monitor, and also a new USB to RS 2343 converter cable that both came with a CD that apparently has Drivers for the devices on them.

They don't start automatically in auto-play to load, and my reading of the file labels in the CD makes no sense to me.

So, with the CD in the drive just sitting there, what do I do to actually get the PC to recognize the Drivers in the Folder(s), and load them in the appropriate places ?

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob! Just posted in your other thread. Now this one ;) If there's files with a .inf extension. Try point the installer to that file as it contains information on which files to copy from the C.D. etc.

You can do this...............

1. Right click on Computer and go to Properties
2. On the left click on Device Manager.
3. Select the devices you want to install the drivers for and right-click.
4. Select "Update Driver Software"
5. Select "Browse My Computer for Driver Software"
6. Select "Let Me Pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
7. Select "Have Disk"
8. Browse to Your CD in the windows that appears and select the .inf file.

Now just install them as usual

Thanks,
